Accessibility Statement.

Our Commitment

Good food is for everyone, and so is this website. Good Seoul India is committed to making this site usable by the widest possible audience, whatever your abilities or the technology you browse with.

Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. It is a bar we design against on every page, and where we fall short, we want to hear about it and fix it.

What We've Built

Accessibility on this site is not an afterthought bolted on at the end, these features are part of how the site is constructed:

  • Keyboard navigability. Menus, product dropdowns and interactive controls can be operated by keyboard, with visible focus states and Escape to close overlays.
  • Reduced-motion support. If your device requests reduced motion, decorative animations, twinkles, drifts, scroll reveals, are switched off and content appears immediately.
  • Text alternatives. Meaningful images carry alt text; purely decorative artwork (stars, clouds, skylines) is hidden from assistive technology.
  • Colour contrast. The brand palette, navy, deep red, gold and cream, is applied so body text and controls meet contrast requirements.
  • Semantic structure. Pages use a logical heading order, landmarks and labelled navigation, so screen readers can move through them predictably.
  • Resizable, responsive layout. Text scales, and the layout reflows from small phones to large screens without horizontal scrolling.

Known Limitations

We aim for candour over a perfect scorecard. Areas we know are not fully there yet:

  • Video content. Some embedded brand and recipe videos do not yet have captions or audio descriptions.
  • Third-party destinations. Ordering happens on retailer apps and sites we do not control; their accessibility varies and is outside the scope of this statement.
  • Decorative motion. The site is visually rich; on older devices some animations may feel heavy even before reduced-motion settings are applied.

Ongoing Work

Accessibility is a practice, not a checkbox. As the site grows we:

  • Review new pages and components against WCAG 2.1 AA before they ship;
  • Re-check colour contrast whenever the palette or theming changes;
  • Work towards captions for our video content;
  • Test periodically with keyboard-only navigation and screen readers.

Feedback & Assistance

If you hit a barrier on this site, something you cannot read, reach or operate, please tell us at info@goodseoul.in. It helps if you mention the page, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using.

We take these reports seriously and aim to respond promptly. If you need any information from this site in an alternative format, ask and we will do our best to provide it.

Compatibility

This site is built as fast, standards-based static pages and is designed to work with:

  • Recent versions of major browsers, Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox, on desktop and mobile;
  • Common screen readers, including NVDA on Windows, VoiceOver on Apple devices, and TalkBack on Android;
  • Browser zoom and operating-system text-size settings;
  • JavaScript-off browsing, core content remains readable even with scripts disabled.

Very old browsers may render a simpler version of the design, but the content itself stays accessible.
